The Teak 2BHK

All five spaces of the flat designed as one home. Teak doors and joinery, warm-white walls and the polished marble run through every room; each room then gets its own accent: sage in the bedroom, olive in the office, terracotta in the living room, sage zellige in the bath and green on the balcony. Walk through it yourself: the “Walk through” button puts you inside at eye height.

Order of work

  1. Weeks 1–2Strip the kitchen slab and bathroom tiles, take out tube lights and old boards everywhere. Chase all wiring in one go, run AC pipes, re-route the bathroom plumbing and waterproof it. Order the kitchen, wardrobe, beds, desks and sofa.
  2. Weeks 3–4Frame and board every false ceiling. Tile the bathroom, kitchen splashback and wash area. Putty and prime all walls.
  3. Weeks 5–6Paint, then the limewash feature walls. Polish all the marble at once. Fit the fluted panels, slat wall, shelving and the bathroom fittings.
  4. Weeks 7–8Install the kitchen, wardrobe and built-ins. Lights, switches, ACs and fans. Laminate all doors.
  5. Weeks 9–10Balcony deck and bench, blinds and curtains, furniture delivery, styling and snag list.

The layout joining the rooms follows your corrections: the main door in the middle of the hall, the bedroom and office side by side off it with a shared wall, the balcony along the bedroom, the kitchen and bathroom at the far end. Distances may still differ on site. Ceilings at 10 ft (3.05 m) as given.

The 3D model is cut at 2 m in the aerial and plan views so every room shows at once; open any room's own page to walk through it at full height.

The photos are path-traced in Blender Cycles. Furniture and decor include CC0 models and textures from Poly Haven.

The bedroom here is rebuilt so both its doors face the office end; its own page shows the earlier version.

Every door was checked to swing fully with a clear 50 cm path on both sides, and every bed, wardrobe, desk, counter and seat keeps room in front to use it. The dining table and the bedroom plant were changed to keep those paths.

In the 3D model the light is baked from the same path tracer as the photos: sun patches, soft shadows, bounce light by day and lamp pools by evening. The walk-through uses the same lighting.
